Fan Frikkin Tastic!!!

did you know that there's a huge movement underway right now to revive the theater? There's a lot of typical chicago politics involved in this, and a lot of cash. Not to mention that the area, at this point, is ugly. Used to be a very toney neighborhood, at about 5000 north, or so, that's just over 6 miles directly north of downtown, and less than a mile west of the lakefront. There are some unbelievable homes in that neighborhood. But, the gentrification for Uptown, the neighborhood, as well as the theater, is moving slowly.

I loved that hall.

Thank you so much for what you wrote here. I'm saving that one, along with those photos, in my archives...

glad you got something out of it stagger.... my mind really is a sieve... i get very fascinated with a song or show or couple shows and listen very intently....

but after i have given a good listen.. i might as well have been watching ESPN... what show? 5/16/78? what did they play?... i have no fuc&&ng idea, is it any good?

good thing i make occasional notes like this. it helps me figure out what i like :)
